Trafalger Cottage

The original house known
The original house known as Trafalgar Cottage was built by Captain Yule, one of Nelson’s officers who features in the famous Death of Lord Nelson engraving by James Heath. In 1845 it was bought, extended and renamed Barnells by John Tucker a prosperous local lace maker.

In one of my favourite villages in the South West. Branscombe is a beautiful little village with a stony beach.
Very lovely house.
