Portesham House is historically one of the most important houses in Dorset, being the former home of Vice Admiral Sir Thomas Masterman Hardy, who famously served as Flag Captain to Admiral Lord Nelson on HMS Victory at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, and to whom Nelson spoke the well-known words ‘Kiss me Hardy’ as he lay on his deathbed.

This is a lovely looking house.
