Witches Cottage discovered in Pendle
Buried ‘witch’s cottage’ discovered in Pendle, Lancashire
Engineers have said they were “stunned” to unearth a 17th Century cottage, complete with a mummified cat, during a construction project in Lancashire.
The mummified cat found could indicate it’s a non-witches house though
Ironically, non-witches would often brick a living cat into their walls during construction, believing that when the cat died in those walls, its spirit would attach itself to the home and protect it.

– energy performance certificate so you can see how much it’ll cost to heat the place!

Interesting house with 35 acres of land and interesting eco credentials
They don’t show the EPC which is a shame as I’d love to see what it is for this eco property!

This is a lovely family home constructed in the 1930\’s by the original owner. It’s got some nice features like this stained glass window at the top of the stairs and previous photo on the listing shows lovely barleysugar twist stair spindles.
